The barrel is what is commonly called a “1920 Commercial”. The reason for this is that immediately post war the German government were forced under the treaty of versailles to dispose of their 9mm pistols, so they rebarreled them in the smaller 7.65mm parabellum and large numbers were sold off to foreign governments.
