The C.S. Richmond musket was manufactured from 1861 to 1865 by the Richmond Armory in Richmond, Virginia. This musket was produced in larger numbers than all other Confederate long-arms manufactured during the Civil War, and is a direct copy of the U. S. Model 1855 except for the elimination of the Maynard priming system. This replica from Armi-Sport is in Excellent condition with an oiled walnut stock and in-the-white metal finish. If you are into Civil War re-enactments, and favor the Southern side, this ought to be a must have. It is certainly a nice looking musket that would like nice displayed above your fireplace when you aren’t taking it out for a day of filling the air with black smoke.
