The Pietta Starr 1858 .44 caliber revolver is a faithful reproduction of one of the most distinctive handguns of the American Civil War. Based on the historic Starr Model 1858 Revolver, this revolver was originally produced by the Starr Arms Company and supplied in large numbers to Union forces.
The modern Pietta reproduction preserves the historical character while offering the quality machining and reliability expected from contemporary manufacturing. Chambered in .44 caliber and built with a six-shot percussion cylinder, the revolver features full steel construction, a 6 inch barrel, and classic walnut grips that closely replicate the look and feel of the original Civil War sidearm.
